This class is part of my Illustrator for Pattern Design series. I will be focusing specifically on Motif Development for two Motifs, from start to finish. I will also include a tutorial on how you can optimize and upload your motifs into Canva, and use them with templates, to create designs with your own artwork.
This class is part of my Illustrator for Pattern Design series. I will be focusing specifically on Motif Development for two Motifs, from start to finish. I will also include a tutorial on how you can optimize and upload your motifs into Canva, and use them with templates, to create designs with your own artwork.
I will be covering a lot of different tools and techniques, including:
Image Trace, Reflecting and Rotating elements, Pathfinder functions, Stroke effects, Pattern Brush tool, Recolor Artwork tool, Pattern Maker Tool, compound paths, Exporting as SVG, and MORE!
It is my sincere hope, that you will feel like you’ve learned something new and different, even if you’ve used these tools many times before. I also hope to inspire you to start using your own motifs in Canva, as it is very satisfying.
I will be including an .eps file as an attachment, which will allow you to follow along with the two tutorials right away, but I also encourage you to use these tips and techniques, for your own ideas.
