Humberto Tan has been appointed the director of the Mauritshuis in The Hague (the Netherlands) for one day. He will take you along to a collection of which he was allowed to determine the theme. He noticed that the old masters did not always deliver perfectly. And this imperfection means that the work is sooner emotionally successful. It is often precisely because of the imperfection that an image is more successful. This can also be traced back to contemporary photography… a beautiful theme in which old meets new.
