In this lesson on Art Composition we’re going to discuss creating a structure for our ideas. Many of us are super eager to start painting our final artwork immediately but if we don’t create a blueprint for ourselves then we risk wasting time and effort. So we need to establish for ourselves a graphical design for our overall idea , we need to build a focal point, generate depth and layers, as well as craft a narrative in order to draw the audiences eye into the back of the image. In this lesson we’ll start with a lecture, followed by a demonstration where we’ll break down the process of developing an idea, and we’ll cap it all off with an assignment for you to complete. All you need for this lesson is any old pencil or pen, and any old scrap of paper you have lying around. If you’ve ever had issues with developing depth in compositions then this is the class for you!
