iPhone Photography: Create Better Photos Of Your Art To Share With Natural Light & Creative Styling
In this class, we are going to learn some tips and tricks for taking better photos of our art to share. This might be to share your class projects, to share on social media, etc… I want to show you how to take some great photos of your art with some basic props and some good lighting.
We’ll go over some of my favorite things to use for backgrounds, props, and more. I want you to get excited about snapping a few photos of your art that you can be proud of with just some basic equipment like a window and your phone.
I’ll be focusing on using my phone in this workshop, keeping your “must haves” to a minimum. You are welcome to use any camera you have access to as the tips I’m sharing will be good for either.
In this class we’ll cover:
- Background options
- Shooting in a window with natural light
- Props I like to use for styling my art
- How I edit photos on the phone using the native camera app
- Composition tips
This course is perfect for beginners getting started and needing ideas and tips for taking better photos of their art to share.
Required Gear: A camera or your phone. I’ll be using my phone in class as it is the most accessible for camera you usually have with you.
You can check out a few photos I took in class below, and a few more photos I have taken in past classes with my phone for some examples. It is a camera that I regularly use in addition to my large camera to get more photos when I’m done creating art.
