We are finishing the year off strong with Chapter 96. To start we have the second segment of Jessica and Stuart’s formal portraits including bride and groom along with their bridal party.
In this Ice Pick watch as Jerry handles posing the couple with the strong bright sun overhead using a diffuser. He also will show you how to capture many different looks when running short on time and you can only use limited locations.
In our Posing and Lighting section this month we review another option for posing plus sized couples on an overcast day. Jerry works to pose the bride in ways that properly light her face.

Our Advice section continues the art of album design. Watch along and listen to Jerry’s through process as he designs this album for the first time.
This new chapter brings you a brand new Ice Queen, we are happy to present Hoa. Hoa, along with her partner Mehmet, were in Los Angeles recently and we photographed them in West Hollywood. Check out some of the shots which, though they might have been in typical locations, were unique captures using the light over location philosophy.
The Practice section continues this month with photographing in congested city locations. Here we cover additional examples of shots that were done with lots of people around yet you would never know after seeing the final result.
You will love the Tip of the Iceberg section this month because we covered a topic almost everyone encounters, free work for exposure. Read on how a recent “opportunity” was presented to us and our response which will guide you should you encounter the same thing in the future.
It’s a wrap, finishing up the last section of the year with Icing on the Cake. Soft even light is great but sometimes you might want to do something a little different and unique. Watch as Jerry uses patterns and shapes created by light coming through a window to create such shots. You will notice how posing and exposure are crucial to the success of these shots.
