MasterClass Presents: The White House

In this groundbreaking series, walk the corridors of power and gain unprecedented access to global political leaders. For the first time ever, learn leadership, resilience, decision-making, diplomacy, and more from changemakers on both sides of the aisle: former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton; President Bill Clinton; President George W. Bush with former First Lady Laura Bush; former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Born William Jefferson Blythe III in Hope, Arkansas, Bill Clinton’s rise from Arkansas governor to world leader heralded a period of prosperity that would become the United States’ longest peacetime economic expansion. Educated at Georgetown, Oxford, and Yale Law School, he entered state politics with a successful run for Arkansas attorney general in 1976. Two years later, at age 32, he became the youngest governor in the country.

During his two terms as U.S. president, his administration helped bring about a stock-market surge, low unemployment, historically high homeownership levels, and a balanced federal budget for the first time in 30 years. His foreign policy efforts included work to end ethnic conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina; attempts to resolve disputes between Palestinians and Israelis, including a historic agreement in the Gaza Strip; and a successful negotiation to free two U.S. citizens from North Korea—a story he details in his new class.

Now you can learn from the challenges and triumphs of President Clinton’s career, before, during, and after his experiences in the Oval Office. Assemble, inspire, and empower diverse people, and gain the tools to define and achieve a shared vision with the 42nd president of the United States.
