Description

Sure, gardening in summer is fun, but it can also be challenging. It’s the season we anxiously wait for as gardeners, but it’s often filled with disappointment and heartache. It feels like the weather just won’t cooperate, the list of insects that attack us and our gardens is endless, and things aren’t working out the way we expected.

In this video series I’ll walk you through everything you need to know to keep your garden happy and healthy throughout the summer and fall. It’s common to start to lose energy in the summer for gardening, but that’s exactly when you can’t let garden tasks slide or you’ll end up with a garden that’s out of control and not producing the abundant harvests you’ve been waiting for.

There’s lots of information out there on garden planning, spring planting, and food preserving, but not much of the specific challenges of gardening in the summer. The struggles with pests and diseases are one of the most common I hear from gardeners during the summer, so I’ve devoted an entire section to the most common pests and diseases that damage each plant family.

Once the fall arrives you shouldn’t hang up your gardening gloves until you put your garden to bed for the winter. Accomplishing some important garden tasks will set you up for a less stressful spring and a more successful season the following year.

Let me help you keep your momentum going throughout the entire season by being your guide through the challenges, tasks, and harvests that are specific to the summer and fall seasons.

In each video I invite you into my urban front yard garden where you’ll learn exactly what you need to know for each topic we cover. I live and garden in southern Wisconsin, so my lessons are most applicable to gardeners in US gardening zones 3-7.

I’d love to have you join me!
