Pine trees are evergreen and come in over 135 species in various sizes and shapes. By using watercolor, we can capture various aspects and colors of these conifers. The overall shape is triangular, with a thin top and wide base. But, the width, overall height and branch shape can be altered.

In this beginner watercolor class, we’ll focus on using yellows, greens, and blues, to create interesting colors for the trees. We’ll paint 6 versions with an emphasis on a painterly approach. The results are recognizable and playful.
